The rate today is increasing and that is bad for gold. But I do not look at the interest but the inflation. Inflation is on the rise and is expected that this will rise further. The Fed has already indicated that the best inflation target may overshoot before it will raise interest rates due to rising inflation. They therefore call on rate increases after inflation. My expectation is that inflation will rise much faster than the interest rate. All that money printing will eventually provide a high inflation or even hyperinflation. Inflation is inflation and to prevent the flight of people always gold. Whenever the interest rate that skyrockets will temporarily drop the gold price. But immediately rise again with increasing inflation. This will be a process of several years. Which ultimately can double or triple the price of gold. Naturally, the gold mining prices rise much faster than the price of gold.
