Information Technology ETF
Maybe this information technology ETF is better named the internet ETF as it encompasses almost exclusively companies that are shaping the future of the internet.
You will find 160 companies in this information technology ETF. We cannot imagine a world without the internet, but we have to keep in mind that the online world does not exist for such a long time.
I myself still remembers the day that I bought my first online airline ticket (and I was an early adopter). Arriving at the airport it caused some havoc with the ground personnel because what in the heck was I submitting there?! They called in many colleagues and they all were astonished that their machines accepted this self-printed e-ticket. That was in the late nineties of last century.
Facebook seems to be around us for many years too but the company only was established in 2004 (and it took some time before we all were hooked). What do I want to make clear here?
It is simple, most of the companies in this information technology ETF are still in the beginning of their life cycle and the same goes for the internet as a whole. Difficult to grasp? Well, let’s wait and see how the internet will develop in the years to come!
Taking a closer look at the companies within this information technology ETF we will also find some dinosaur IT companies such as IBM, but they too have a bright future ahead of them. Information Technology and the internet will have decades of growing opportunities before them.
That makes this information technology ETF a must to track it on a daily basis. Lots of opportunities here! That being said you will not be surprised to hear as I am telling you that investors already went ahead of future results.
Prices of the underlying stocks have soared immensely during the last years so my mission is to get in when a correction will occur.
